The Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity ReStore depends upon your tax deductible material donations. The donations should be in working order.
When you have good, reusable or new items or materials, please give us a call. You will be asked for a description of the item(s) as well as your contact information. We prefer that donors include delivery of the materials to the store as part of their donation, so please indicate if you are able to deliver your donation to the ReStore when you call. Otherwise, we will pick up your donation if you live in the Milwaukee area. Please call Jeri Kavanaugh at (414) 257-9078 to see if your donation can be accepted and, if so, to make arrangements for delivery or pickup. Following are some samples of preferred donations:
- Appliances (in working order and less than 5 years old)
- Doors
- Windows
- Ceramic Tile
- Lighting (in safe working order)
- Cabinets (no countertops, please)
- Lumber (at least 6' in length)
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Vanities
- New Carpeting
- Toilets (in working order)
- New sinks
- Flooring
- Hot water heaters (less than 5 years old)
- Building Supplies
- Unopened Paint
- Tools
- Hardware
- Roofing
